Linen Lighting For Spring
Linen shirts, linen skirts and linen dresses all make us think of warmer days and nights this time of year. So why not add linen to your home decor and table? Formal linens that require ironing are best kept for winter and fall meals or holiday. Easy spring entertaining and decorating is all about less fuss. Linen lamp shades added to existing light fixtures or chandeliers can transform the piece and make it feel lighter, perfect for spring! Here are some of our favorite lighting related decorating ideas for Spring or any time of the year when you want to introduce soft texture and a casual feeling to your home.

From Terrain, (the new garden lifestyle offshoot of Anthropologie) this linen-like shade made from sea grass over the simple seeded glass base. Of special interest is the exaggerated linen like weave.

For more drama in your living room design, chose a dark or black linen shade. The Uttermost Betsy traditional accent lamp set has antiqued black finish cast metal bases. They work well for a console table or buffet.

We love the salvaged architectural feel of the Pennsylvania Finial Lamp, from Terrain. The linen shade is a nice contrast to cast concrete base.
